We have an active and growing compliment of competitive fly fishers across all divisions in South Africa.

SAFFA directs the running of our various National Fly Fishing Events as well as the Invitational Trials for selection of National Youth, Senior, Ladies & Masters Teams.

Our Annual National events are hosted on a rotational bases by the affiliated Provinces. All fishing is on a strictly Catch & Release basis, using barbless hooks and are fished to the SAFFA Competition Rules. Fish have to be carefully netted, lengths recorded by  a trained controller and safely released by the angler.
